Alexander Ugay
Artwork Description
Alexander Ugay was born in Kazakhstan. His ancestors were deported from the Far East to Kazakhstan in 1937, an event that marked the beginning of the Korean diaspora in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. This project is a constellation of four groups of images, both photographic and AI-generated. The past, like many other things, is a construct, rendering historical artifacts, documents and archives subjective.
