Artwork Description

Manju's work focuses on the cultural commentary of both present and historical humanities, and the connections that are formed across eras within and outside their respective communities. From the sociopolitical machinations of a contemporary America to ordeals and reasoning of a modern culture still using the stars and Zodiac to dictate our future, Manju's dialogues span a wide range of emotional release and conversations the artist wants to spark in not only the imagination of the audience, but within the artist herself. Transfer printing, cotton thread, acrylic paint, and gesso on Trapunto canvas.
