This work is a self-portrait, created with a blurred, almost angry mark. I cannot explain why, but for years I have avoided looking at myself in the mirror; I almost fear doing so. The self-portrait thus becomes a way to confront this feeling: it does not return a clear image but rather an undefined presence, reflecting the distance between myself and the perception of my own face. Esta obra es un autorretrato, realizado con un trazo difuso y casi furioso. No sé explicar por qué, pero desde hace años evito mirarme en el espejo; siento casi miedo de hacerlo. El autorretrato se convierte así en una forma de enfrentar esta sensación: no devuelve una imagen nítida, sino una presencia indefinida, reflejando la distancia entre yo y la percepción de mi propio rostro.
