Artwork Description

Solo exhibition by Carlos Leppe, held at the Galería Cromo, located in Santiago de Chile, between November and December 1977. The exhibition consisted of 31 works produced between 1975 and 1977 and included the publication of a catalogue of the same name with texts by Adriana Valdés, Cristián Hunneus and Nelly Richard. Thanks to this publication we know the names of all the works presented, but it has not been possible to establish what each of them consisted of, since there is no detailed written or photographic record, and most of these works no longer exist. Nevertheless, we know that the exhibition consisted of objects, collages, boxes and panels. Thanks to the press register we have the image of the work ‘Absolute Rest’. Two other pieces from the exhibition are in a private collection and in the collection of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes’.
